1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using GTA Browser, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or its browser-game features.

If applicable law requires permission from a parent, guardian, organization, employer or other responsible party before you can accept these Terms, you must obtain that permission before using the service.

2. What GTA Browser provides

GTA Browser provides a browser-based technical interface that can run a Vice City-compatible game runtime using technologies such as WebAssembly, Service Workers, OPFS, IndexedDB and browser graphics/audio APIs. Features may include local game installation, offline-capable app files, Save Manager, Mod Manager, cheats, touch controls, gamepad support, fullscreen controls and troubleshooting tools.

The service may change over time. Features may be added, removed, modified, interrupted or discontinued without guaranteeing backward compatibility with every browser, device or locally stored installation.

3. Intellectual property and trademarks

Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, GTA, Vice City, Rockstar Games, Rockstar North, Take-Two Interactive and related names, logos, characters, artwork, music and game content are owned by their respective rights holders.

GTA Browser is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Nothing on this site transfers or licenses third-party intellectual-property rights to you.

Software components in the repository may be subject to open-source licenses and third-party notices. Those license terms control for the relevant software components.

4. Game data and lawful use

You are responsible for ensuring that any game data, save files, mods, archives, replacement assets or other files you use with GTA Browser are lawfully obtained and that your use is permitted in your jurisdiction.

GTA Browser's website Terms cannot make third-party copyrighted content lawful to copy, distribute, download or modify. If a rights holder, license agreement, platform rule or applicable law restricts a file or use, you must follow that restriction.

5. Browser storage, one-time setup and offline mode

GTA Browser may store large game files and related data in browser-managed storage such as OPFS, IndexedDB and Cache Storage. Local data is tied to the site origin and browser profile. Clearing site data, resetting the game, browser storage eviction, changing domains or deleting a browser profile may remove access to that installation.

Offline mode is provided on a best-effort basis. It depends on a completed local installation, cached app-shell files, compatible browser behavior and local storage remaining available. GTA Browser does not guarantee that every device will retain offline files indefinitely.

6. Saves, mods and backups

You are responsible for your own save files, mods and backups. Before importing, replacing or modifying files, create backups of anything you care about. A broken mod, incompatible save, browser reset, storage eviction or manual file replacement may make the game unstable or cause data loss.

Do not upload, import or distribute content through GTA Browser unless you have the right to use it. GTA Browser is not responsible for third-party mod files, malicious files, corrupted archives or content obtained from external sources.

7. Comments and user content

The Discussion section uses Disqus. Comments you post are your responsibility and may be public. Do not post unlawful, abusive, infringing, malicious, privacy-invasive or deceptive content.

Use of Disqus is also subject to Disqus's own user and publisher terms. GTA Browser may remove or disable access to a discussion feature when needed for moderation, security, technical or legal reasons.

8. Third-party services

GTA Browser may rely on or link to independent services such as Vercel, Cloudflare, Disqus, Discord, Google Fonts, GitHub and optional cloud-save providers. GTA Browser does not control their availability, data practices, account rules, uptime, pricing, moderation, or terms.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's applicable terms and privacy policy. A failure or policy change at a third-party provider may affect part of GTA Browser without notice.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use GTA Browser to:

• violate applicable law, court orders, intellectual-property rights or contractual restrictions;
• attack, overload, scrape abusively, bypass security controls, or intentionally disrupt the website or infrastructure;
• upload or distribute malware, destructive code, stolen data or content you are not authorized to use;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with GTA Browser or a third party;
• use comments or linked community features for harassment, spam, fraud or illegal activity.

10. Availability and browser compatibility

GTA Browser is provided on a best-effort basis. Browser APIs, storage quotas, operating-system behavior, device performance, network connections and third-party infrastructure vary widely. A build that works on one device may perform differently on another.

No promise is made that the website, offline mode, downloads, cloud features, mods, saves, comments or game runtime will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible or error-free.

11. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GTA Browser and its software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, data preservation or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GTA Browser's maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of the site, including loss of saves, local browser data, mods, device time, network usage, profits, opportunities or access to third-party services.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Security and your device

You are responsible for maintaining a secure browser, operating system and device. Keep your browser updated, use trusted files, and avoid importing unknown mods or archives. GTA Browser cannot guarantee that every third-party file, link, comment or service is safe.

14. Privacy

GTA Browser's handling of browser storage and third-party integrations is described in the Privacy Policy. By using external services such as Disqus or Discord, you may also be subject to their independent privacy practices.

15. Changes to the service or these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the website, storage architecture, hosting, comments, third-party services, legal requirements or project policies. The updated date at the top of this page will be changed when material revisions are made.

16. Suspension or termination

Access to GTA Browser or specific features may be restricted, suspended or discontinued when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, infrastructure limits, third-party service changes or project maintenance.

17. Applicable law

These Terms are interpreted subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a legal right that cannot be waived by contract.
